Grant Thornton named one of ‘America’s Greatest Workplaces for Entry Level 2026’ by Newsweek

CHICAGO — Grant Thornton has been named one of ‘America’s Greatest Workplaces for Entry Level 2026’ by Newsweek, a recognition that highlights organizations excelling in the employee experience of early‑career professionals.

“At a time when attracting and retaining talent is more critical than ever, the impressions we make on early‑career professionals, and the support and tools we provide from day one, are incredibly important,” said Jeanna Shapiro, Grant Thornton’s chief people & culture officer. “Whether someone joins us as an intern or in their first full‑time role, we want every new professional to feel valued, challenged and set up for long‑term success. This recognition affirms that our commitment to building a strong foundation for the next generation of talent is resonating.”

The distinction is based on one of the largest independent studies of the U.S. entry‑level workforce, conducted from April to October 2025 and capturing more than 610,000 company reviews from over 37,000 employees aged 18 to 28. Led by Plant‑A Insights Group in partnership with Aniline, the study analyzed more than 37 million data points across 120 key performance indicators, with an emphasis on the factors that matter most to early‑career professionals — including hiring experience, work‑life balance, job satisfaction, the application process and opportunities for professional development.

This recognition follows a series of recent accolades highlighting Grant Thornton’s sustained commitment to developing and supporting its people. In the past year, the firm has been named one of USA Today’s Most Recommended Tax and Accounting Firms, earned multiple Brandon Hall Group awards for excellence in learning and talent development, and received honors such as America’s Best Employer for Culture by Forbes and Best Company distinctions from Seramount.

“Creating an environment where early‑career professionals can learn, grow and feel supported isn’t just good for our people — it’s essential to the long-term strength of our profession,” Shapiro added. “We’re proud to be recognized for work that aligns so closely with our values.”
