Arthur currently serves on the Board of Directors for Quick Base, Inc., a Vista Equity Partners portfolio company, and Genesys, a Hellman & Friedman and Permira-backed leader in cloud customer experience solutions. At Genesys, he is a member of the Audit Committee.

 

Previously, Arthur was the Chief Strategy Officer at Pure Storage, where he played a key role in the company’s evolution into a market leader in cloud-based data storage. Before that, he was the founding Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development at Twilio, where he led strategy, M&A, partnerships, and corporate investments, helping the company achieve a successful IPO.

 

Arthur’s earlier roles include serving as an Operating Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, advising over 40 high-growth portfolio companies on strategy, customer acquisition, and M&A. He was also the Chief Operating Officer for Cisco WebEx, a $1 billion division with more than 3,000 employees. Other leadership positions include Vice President of Corporate Development at Intuit and leading strategic planning for Hewlett Packard’s Software Division. Arthur began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs.

 

 

 

Education

 

Arthur earned his Bachelor of Science from California State University, Los Angeles, where he was a scholarship baseball athlete, and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
