Grant Thornton named one of ‘America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families’ by Newsweek

CHICAGO — Grant Thornton, one of America’s largest brands of professionals providing end-to-end audit, assurance, tax and advisory services, has been recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families’ in 2025 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group. The firm received a 4.5 out of 5-star rating in this year’s ranking.

"When we support working parents, we’re not just doing the right thing — we’re making a strategic investment,” said Jeanna Shapiro, chief people & culture officer. “Grant Thornton is becoming the destination of choice for accounting and consulting professionals, and that means providing our people with the flexibility, resources and support they need to thrive, both at work and at home. This recognition affirms our efforts; we are very proud to have garnered it."

The third annual list of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families was developed based on feedback from more than 200,000 working parents and over 2.6 million company reviews. Plant-A Insights Group evaluated companies across a range of factors including corporate family-friendly programs, employee sentiment and online reviews from working parents.

  • Paid gender-neutral parental leave for birth, adoption or guardianship of a child.
  • Flexible time off, an industry-leading benefit enhancement that allows employees to take time off as needed to meet their individual needs instead of a predetermined set of paid time off days.
