Luke Ratke takes the helm of Grant Thornton’s Pittsburgh office

PITTSBURGH — Grant Thornton LLP, one of America’s largest providers of audit and assurance, tax and advisory services, has named Luke Ratke as the firm’s new market managing partner in Pittsburgh. Ratke succeeds Jamie Sybert, who served the firm in multiple leadership roles after joining in 2020.

Ratke originally worked at Grant Thornton from 2003 through 2010. He rejoined Grant Thornton in 2015 to lead its Audit & Assurance service line in the Pittsburgh market. He is known in Pittsburgh and across the firm for his leadership and superior problem-solving skills.

“I’m consistently impressed by the way Luke works across all of our service lines, industry teams and even different markets to bring the full strength of Grant Thornton to our Pittsburgh clients,” said Nichole Jordan, Grant Thornton’s national managing partner of Geography. “Luke has deep industry knowledge and a proven track record for helping our people develop their talents, and those traits will help our Pittsburgh team continue its strong momentum.”

Ratke’s experience spans a diverse array of industries, including manufacturing, energy, technology, healthcare and hospitality. He has served as a volunteer, board member and committee member for many nonprofits in Pittsburgh, including the Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania and United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Ratke graduated from the Leadership Pittsburgh program and is a certified public accountant in both Pennsylvania and North Carolina. He earned a master’s degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in computer applications from the University of Notre Dame.

“Our Pittsburgh team has experienced strong growth in the last 10 years, and because of our people, the next 10 are looking even better,” said Ratke. “This team has a knack for developing strong relationships with our clients, and I’m looking forward to helping all of our teammates grow their skills and deliver even more value and quality to our clients.”
