Accelerating growth: Grant Thornton implements OneStream CPM Express to drive consolidation and acquisition integration to support a global platform

Abstract

Grant Thornton, a global services firm, is transforming its financial consolidation and reporting processes to keep pace with rapid growth and an aggressive acquisition strategy. With multiple manual processes slowing close cycles, the firm needed a scalable solution to unify financial and operational data and enable seamless integration of new entities.

Leveraging OneStream’s CPM Express accelerator, Grant Thornton deployed a modern consolidation platform in just three months. The implementation required minimal customization—only an extension of the chart of accounts—while maintaining the speed and simplicity of CPM Express. This rapid deployment delivered immediate benefits: streamlined close processes, faster integration of acquisition data, and enhanced reporting. 

In addition to consolidation, the project introduced planning capabilities, enabling the finance team to manage forecasts and budgets within the same unified platform. By adopting OneStream’s platform, Grant Thornton now operates with “One Version of the Truth,” positioning the organization to integrate future acquisitions quickly and efficiently. Extending the platform with Account reconciliations and other business processes are planned for future phases.
