Amy Henselin
Executive summary
Amy is an audit partner in Grant Thornton's Appleton location and serves as the Audit Practice Leader for the Wisconsin practice. In this role, Amy is responsible for development of the audit team and creating a culture that aligns with our people first values.
Amy has more than twenty years of accounting and auditing experience and is responsible for directing the overall audit strategy on her clients. She primarily serves clients within the manufacturing and distribution, health care and insurance, and not for profit industries, and has experience in a variety of other industries. Amy has experience working on clients that utilize US GAAP, statutory accounting principles prescribed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and IFRS, as well as performed single audits in connection with the Uniform Guidance and Wisconsin State Single Audit Guidelines.
Her clients include private equity portfolio and family owned businesses, and she has successfully led multiple financial statement audits for clients ranging in size from emerging growth to multinational private entities. Amy also has experience serving health insurance companies that operate under various Medicaid and Medicare contracts in addition to marketplace and group contract business.
Amy has worked on a number of engagements in the closely-held and private sectors, including carve-out audits, due diligence projects, purchase accounting, strategic planning, internal control and process improvement projects.
In addition, she has extensive experience with benefit plan audits and serves as a technical resource for the Wisconsin practice.
