Executive summary
Joann is a partner in our Advisory Services practice, based in Arlington, VA and also leads Grant Thornton’s National Hospitality Industry, supporting all lines of service including audit, tax and advisory. She has more than 20 years of combined experience in public accounting, private industry and business consulting including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, internal audit services, operational audits, business process improvement, and risk management.
Her experience also includes audit services within a national CPA firm, as well as SEC financial reporting and controller positions. Joann has significant experience in the real estate industry, specifically within hotel, retail, multifamily and office, including REITs. Joann has strong multi-national experience having held financial reporting roles at a large publicly traded global hotel franchisor and a publicly traded UK based software company, as well as serving many multi-national clients.
