Joe E. Bacon

Joe Bacon is a Tax partner with the Cincinnati office of Grant Thornton. Bacon has 20 years of experience in public accounting serving clients in multiple industries and markets including private, public, domestic and global. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Joe was a tax director of business tax services with an international accounting firm providing tax and business advisory services to a diverse group of clients, while holding regional tax leadership roles.

He has extensive experience in the consumer industrial products, and energy utility Industries. He also specializes in tax accounting matters including ASC 740 and FIN 48. Bacon provides tax consulting for mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and corporate reorganizations, as well as for international expansion and restructurings. He also consults on income tax accounting matters, global tax outsourcing services and provides strategic tax reviews.
