Lauren Spegal

Lauren is a partner in the audit practice of Grant Thornton's Charlotte office and has more than 16 years of public accounting experience. She also serves as the audit leader of the firm's hospitality and restaurants industry. She has significant experience in providing assurance services to a wide array of companies primarily in the construction, real estate and hospitality industries including hotel owners and operators, property managers, asset managers, real estate developers, REITs, and homebuilders.

Lauren has experience with various attest and nonattest engagements related to both private and public companies. She has assisted clients in their accounting for complex revenue recognition transactions including percentage of completion and contract accounting, purchase accounting transactions and fair value real estate investments. She has also assisted companies developing internal control structures around cash management, cash collections and general cost controls. She also serves as a partner on the peer review engagements of Big 4 firms.
