Tom Joseph

 

 

 

Executive summary


Tom is a Principal in Grant Thornton’s Growth Advisory practice. He serves as the relationship owner for several of the firm’s largest and most strategic clients. He also serves the Firm as East Region Industries Leader and national Banking Sector go-to-market Co-Chair.


With more than 30 years of experience, Tom spent the majority of his career advising multi-national Financial Services (FS) firms across their core Retail Banking, Wholesale Banking, Wealth Management and Insurance businesses in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific.  

 

His experience includes leading large and complex transition and conversion programs during bank mergers (with full SDLC, Agile and Six Sigma experience). He is also recognized for helping enable businesses to better perform and integrate their full set of core capabilities for the benefit of their customers/clients, finding new opportunities to grow responsibly and effectively adapt to changes in the risk, compliance and regulatory environments.  

 

Tom previously held leadership positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he led global enterprise business integration initiatives (specifically their enterprise client management program), was head of strategy & channel integration for the Institutional Retirement business, built and ran a new consumer directed healthcare (CDHC) business in retail & wholesale banking, and served as an executive on multiple large scale M&A and business integration programs. 

 

Early on in Tom’s career, he worked for Andersen Consulting LLP/Accenture (global banking practices located in Sydney, Australia and Charlotte, NC).
