Executive summary



David has over 25 years’ experience in professoinal services and banking.  Throughout his career he has managed business units, led talent acquisition, engaged employees in key strategies to drive growth, strengthened customer relationships, and driven leadership developent and diversity efforts.

 

Since joining Grant Thornton in 2014, David has been a catalyst in the Charlotte market responsible for many of the firm’s largest strategic clients and for a period led growth efforts for the southeast region.   He enables C-suite leaders to work through solutions to their complex business challenges.  He assesses industry trends, aligns capabilities,  and considers implications of regulatory changes on each leader’s objectives.   He is actively engaged as an servant leader for Grant Thornton’s employee resource groups and in the community.

 

Prior to Grant Thornton, he served ten years as an executive in the Consumer Bank organization for a top five global bank.  He led national teams in a variety of roles including as the National Customer Experience Executive, led one of the Consumer Customer Segments, Chief of Staff to the President of Small Business Banking, and national Staffing Executive for multiple business units.  In his Consumer Bank roles, David’s teams led the strategy for sales processes, product campaigns, service levels, resource plans, and pricing.  In his HR roles, he led recruitment and talent deployment integrating with Leadership Development and HR generalists to deliver a comprehensive solution for business unit Presidents and their leadership teams.

 

Early in his career, David was with one of the largest global consulting firms for a decade where he contributed as a process design consultant and a senior recruiting manager.   He led talent acquisition efforts regionally and was on the core team to launch a new Technology Services business entity.  He also spent a year in Germany where the core leadership team enabled that region to hit their growth goals for the first time.  He taught assessment courses to executives globally and was a founding member of the Carolinas Diversity Committee.
