Juan C. Cruz

Executive summary

Juan is a Managing Director in the Accounting Advisory Services group. Juan provides assistance to a variety of companies on complex accounting topics that organizations face in times of restructuring.

Juan has over 20 years of diversified accounting and reporting experience in both industry and public accounting roles.  His specific advisory experience includes working with several large and mid-market companies with the preparation and support of U.S. GAAP compliant financial statements, as well as additional deal support for both acquisition and separation services.  In addition, Juan has provided accounting services related to financial audits, due diligence examinations, Mergers and Acquisitions (“M&A”), IPO/SEC reporting, spin-offs, carve-outs, fraud audits, and complex accounting topics.

Additionally, during his industry experience Juan was the CFO of a start-up private equity real estate firm investing in Latin America.  In this role Juan assisted with facilitating investments for cross-border real estate projects, managed all treasury functions, oversaw all of the internal and external accounting/reporting and led the development of company financial policies.

Community involvement

Juan has been involved with many diversity and inclusion initiatives.  He is a lifetime member of ALPFA, where he previously served as the president of the New York professional chapter.  ALPFA’s mission is to empower and develop Latino men and women leaders in both the professional world and in their communities.

Juan graduated from Binghamton University in New York with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting
