Executive summary

As regional managing partner for the Northeast, John Batt leads the region’s strategic priorities, growth initiatives and talent development efforts. He also serves as leader of the firm’s Metro New York practice, overseeing teams across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. In these roles, he focuses on strengthening key client relationships, elevating Grant Thornton’s market presence and driving continued growth across audit, tax, and advisory services. Batt also serves as the Key Relationship Partner for some of the firm’s largest financial services and private equity clients.

 

Batt has more than 25 years of experience advising private equity, financial services, and professional services organizations across operations, marketing, product development, and sales. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he was a member of the private equity team at a Big Four firm. Earlier in his career, Batt served as the chief marketing and strategy officer and later regional practice leader of the Southeast and Northeast regions for a publicly traded financial publishing firm.

Batt is deeply engaged in the community, serving as a founding board member of Compass Pro Bono and previously as a publicly elected member of his local board of education. He also supports the missions of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the American Cancer Society
