Tomasz Kotowicz

Executive summary

Tomasz is an Audit Partner in the Financial Services practice in the New York Metro practice.

Tomasz has close to twenty years of public accounting experience, primarily serving middle market companies, both publicly and privately owned.

In his recent experience, Tomasz served as an audit partner advising mortgage and hybrid REITs as well as registered and non-registered investment funds that invest in a variety of financial assets including distressed loans, government, agency and non-agency bonds, CDO securitizations, private equity funds, and mezzanine and preferred equity financing. His clients include real estate companies with investments in a wide variety of asset classes – including hospitality, multi-family, industrial, office, and healthcare facilities.

His experience also includes working with both public and privately held diversified holding companies in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Tomasz worked closely with other offices both domestically and internationally in delivering client services and coordinated group, stand-alone and statutory audits for multi-national clients.

Tomasz has significant experience with working with companies and underwriters through IPO readiness, initial and secondary public offerings and participated in multiple debt and equity raises.

Throughout his career, Tomasz has completed a two year rotation as a member of the Northeast Region National Professional Standards Group, where he consulted on various technical accounting matters, auditing standards and related audit issues for various industries as well as participated in other special projects, resource groups and task forces nationally. In addition, Tomasz graduated from Grant Thornton International (GTI) sponsored Advanced Manager Programme where over a twelve month period he participated in a series of courses with professionals from more than thirty GTI firms.

• Tomasz is a member of the AICPA, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in NY and in NJ.

Education

• Tomasz graduated Pace University with a MBA in Accounting & Financial Management and a BBA in public accounting. He is a member of the AICPA, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Public Accountant licensed in NY and in NJ.
