W. Kevin Moentmann
Kevin Moentmann is a Principal in the Transaction Services practice of Grant Thornton responsible for Valuation Services in the Great Plains region. With more than 25 years of valuation, acquisition advisory and litigation support experience. Kevin’s clients include privately-held businesses, private equity firms, publicly-traded companies and not-for-profit entities. He assists them with assurance, tax, litigation, financing and compliance needs. Engagements involve financial reporting valuation requirements under ASC 350, 360, 805, etc.; IRC 409A; built in gain analysis & tax restructuring; estate and gift issues; ESOPs; complex derivatives, options & warrants; mark-to-market issues & note valuations; financial planning & strategic advisory services; and fairness and solvency opinions.
Mr. Moentmann started his valuation career spending seven years in the valuation group of a Big Six accounting firm. Most recently, he was a managing director with a publicly-traded professional services firm responsible for its valuation service group in the central region.
