Carolyn Warger

 

 

 

Executive summary

 

Carolyn is a Partner in the Accounting Principles Group (APG) in the National Office of Grant Thornton’s Audit practice. Carolyn assists clients and audit teams in navigating accounting questions under U.S. GAAP, and authors publications and trainings to increase knowledge of standards within the firm and in the accounting community.

Carolyn served as a Practice Fellow at the Financial Accounting Standard Board from July 2020 to July 2022. In that role, she applied her practical insight and technical skills to assist the Board in setting U.S. GAAP in several topic areas, including revenue, leasing, goodwill, and digital assets. Prior to her role at the FASB, Carolyn was a Senior Manager in APG, working clients and teams in technical matters. Prior to joining APG, Carolyn was a Manager in the firm’s Boston audit practice, serving primarily private companies and not-for-profit entities.

Carolyn has over 13 years experience in audit and working through technical accounting questions across a variety of subject matter areas.
