Partho Ghatak

Partho Ghatak is a Managing Director and the chief information security officer (CISO) of Grant Thornton. In this role, Ghatak steers Grant Thornton’s information security needs and advises senior leadership on all matters related to the integrity and confidentiality of firm systems and critical business information. He is responsible for driving the transformation of a holistic information security program that supports the firm’s business growth, improves cybersecurity resiliency, protects client information, and detects, prevents and responds to cyber threats while implementing practices and tools that reduce risks. Ghatak delivers a differentiated client experience through trust and compliance assurance that drives confidence in the firm’s brand and value.

Ghatak, who boasts more than 20 years of experience leading technology implementations and information security efforts, joined Grant Thornton in 2021. Prior to joining the firm, Ghatak served in similar positions with Blue Shield of California and the Kellogg Company.

His experience spans the fields of cybersecurity strategy, architecture & engineering, cyber defense operations, and governance, risk and compliance, as well as innovation, cost optimization, and organizational change management. He has a talent for building high-performing teams, cultivating the right leadership behaviors to get results, and aligning cyber risk management practices and business priorities. Ghatak has led teams in industries as diverse as healthcare, manufacturing, banking, transportation and consulting. He has successfully implemented global cybersecurity programs with a key focus on business resiliency, cloud adoption, digital transformation, and operational excellence.
