Executive summary

Harris is an audit partner in Grant Thornton’s Chicago office with over 18 years of experience in public accounting. Throughout his career, Harris has worked with both publicly traded and privately held companies ranging in revenue size from pre-revenue development to over $8 billion. His current client portfolio is focused on companies operating in the manufacturing, technology, and services industries and Harris works extensively with companies who have significant international operations and multi-jurisdictional reporting requirements. He has been involved in numerous merger and acquisition related activities, including divestitures and carve-out audits.

Harris has significant experience with capital markets activity, including initial public offerings (including SPAC mergers), debt and equity offerings and auditing portfolio companies of private equity groups. He also is experienced in assisting companies with their initial and recurring reporting requirements for the Securities and Exchange Commission, including internal control compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Prior to moving to Chicago, Harris completed a three-year secondment in Europe (headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany), where he focused on providing U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting support to multi-national clients and providing strategic development support to the German and other European member firms of Grant Thornton International Limited.
