Executive summary

 

William E. 'Buck' Buchanan is the lead IRS Practice and Procedure subject matter expert in the Washington National Tax Office (WNTO).

 

Buck has extensive experience in helping clients resolve issues with the IRS in a wide variety of areas, including penalty abatement, missed elections, refunds, information returns, statutes of limitations, and filing requirements. He has also assisted clients in resolving issues during IRS examinations and at Appeals, and in navigating the new partnership BBA rules.

 

Buck has excelled in developing and implementing strategic plans to resolve tax disputes, and in identifying and mitigating risk. Buck most recently served clients as an IRS Practice and Procedure expert at a Big Four firm and has also assisted clients with resolving tax controversies through litigation at a law firm specializing in such issues.

 

Buck has over 15 years of experience resolving IRS Practice and Procedure issues.
