Amanda McCarty

Amanda leads client service operations for the firm's West region clients, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalized services and benefit from the full strength of Grant Thornton. She was previously the firm's leader in Silicon Valley, a role in which she led a team of audit, tax and advisory professionals working with senior management, boards of directors and other key decision-makers throughout Silicon Valley.

Amanda also provides audit services and consulting services related to SEC regulations and filings, initial public offerings, audits of internal control over financial reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. Amanda’s career has focused serving on the middle market, has also worked extensively with large multi-national companies in the technology and life science industries. Amanda’s clients have benefited from her assistance with complex accounting issues including revenue recognition for multiple performance obligation arrangements, stock-based compensation, debt and equity transactions, acquisitions, and capital raising activities.

She is a certified facilitator for Grant Thornton’s people-first culture journey, working to promote a consistent culture of excellence and to develop and retrain top talent. Additionally, she regularly speaks at accounting conferences sharing knowledge on emerging accounting topics including revenue recognition and share-based compensation.
