Cesar Nuñez is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton’s Accounting Advisory Services practice, where he advises private equity and venture capital sponsors, portfolio company executives, and boards on complex accounting, financial reporting, and CFO advisory matters across the transaction and growth lifecycle.

Cesar specializes in technical accounting and financial reporting challenges associated with acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and capital markets transactions. He works closely with management teams to interpret and apply U.S. GAAP, design scalable accounting policies and processes, and support transaction execution, integration, and ongoing reporting requirements. His experience includes business combinations, purchase accounting, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, complex equity structures, and IPO readiness.
