Marjorie is a Managing Director in the SEC Regulatory Matters Group, with more than 15 years of experience in auditing, accounting and SEC reporting. She has significant capital markets experience having worked on IPOs, secondary offerings and private placements.
Marjorie started her career in KPMG’s audit practice in 2003 where she audited large, publicly listed companies, primarily in the technology and media industries. Her experience also includes valuable insight from her roles as Director, Accounting Research and Policy at a Fortune 500 hospitality company and as Senior Director, Assistant Controller at a Russell 2000 software company, where she gained operational corporate accounting and SEC reporting experience.
Marjorie joined Grant Thornton’s National Professional Standards Group in 2015. As a national office resource and subject matter expert, Marjorie supports Grant Thornton professionals and clients across a variety of industries as they navigate complex SEC reporting and compliance matters. Marjorie also actively participates in task forces sponsored by the Center for Audit Quality.

Marjorie frequently presents at internal and external training events including the firm’s Financial Reporting Update webcasts. She has authored or contributed to technical publications including Grant Thornton’s revenue accounting guide, Revenue from Contracts with Customers - Navigating the Guidance in ASC 606 and ASC 340-40, as well as a variety of publications on SEC regulatory developments.
