Executive summary
Seth Siegel is a partner with Grant Thornton, providing high-quality, hands-on audit and consulting services to both publicly traded and privately held companies. He brings extensive experience serving clients in a variety of industries, including real estate, hospitality, private equity and financial services. He provides strategic guidance based on an understanding of their culture, industry and business objectives, and in a manner consistent with Grant Thornton and professional standards.
Siegel currently serves on the Grant Thornton Partnership Board, one of 10 members elected by Grant Thornton’s partners and principals to govern the Partnership and oversee the work of Grant Thornton’s CEO in leading the firm. He also serves on the firm’s Audit Quality Advisory Council, where he provides practical and objective advice on ways Grant Thornton can continue to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality audit services to the marketplace. Siegel also served as a member of the inaugural Grant Thornton Experience Leadership Council, which acted as an advisory council to the CEO and Senior Leadership Team helping shape strategic and operational decisions across all service-lines and geographies.
Siegel joined Grant Thornton in 1996 and was named a partner in 2006. He served as Grant Thornton’s Florida Audit practice leader, guiding the Florida Audit practice from 2012 until 2019, with full operational responsibility for the five offices in Florida. During this seven-year timespan, the practice area doubled in size and experienced exceptional growth in profitability while maintaining excellent quality. Prior to this, Siegel led Grant Thornton Florida Real Estate, Construction and Hospitality industry group, and before this, he served as practice leader for the Employee Benefit Plan industry group.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Siegel was the controller of a boutique securities broker-dealer and a financial advisor for a major Wall Street investment firm.
Siegel received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University and completed additional executive education studies at The Harvard Business School Executive Education Program. He has also completed the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) “Director Professionalism” program.
Siegel is a licensed certified public accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has also held Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Series 27 professional licenses in the securities industry.
Siegel is the past-president and an advisory board member of the Florida Atlantic University School of Accounting Advisory Board and a past vice president of the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, South Florida Chapter. In addition, he has served on boards and committees for various charitable and community organizations.
