Tony Perazzo

Executive summary

Tony is Grant Thornton’s West Region Managing Partner and the Managing Partner for Grant Thornton’s Greater Bay Area offices.

Tony has over 30 years of experience serving public and private clients primarily in the consumer and technology industries and industrial products. While he has focused his career on the middle market, Tony has also worked extensively with large multi-national corporations including multi-location companies.  He has assisted clients with initial public offerings, mergers and acquisition due diligence, and various process consulting projects.  Tony also understands the dynamics of closely held ownership due to his experience with private equity-held, family owned and venture capital backed companies. As West Region Managing Partner, Tony leads regional and local market strategy and growth initiatives with a strong emphasis on client-centric relationship building. He is responsible for shaping and activating go-to-market strategies, aligning teams around priority clients, and driving sustainable growth by delivering outcomes that support long-term client success.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Tony spent the first eight years of his career at Arthur Andersen.

Tony previously served as the Greater Bay Area audit practice leader and northern California Consumer and Industrial Products Practice leader.  He has written for and been quoted in national food and beverage trade publications.  Throughout his career, Tony has worked extensively with SAAS, software, hardware and medical device companies in the technology industry.

Professional qualifications and memberships

• Tony received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at the University of San Francisco.
• He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Community involvement

• He serves on the Junior Achievement of Northern California Board of Directors.
