Jeff Hughes is Grant Thornton’s national managing partner for audit risk management. Hughes has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting and auditing industry, including serving international and domestic organizations of various types and in multiple industries, oversight of firms auditing public companies, and serving quality-control roles. He is based in the Atlanta office and leads the firm’s audit risk management efforts, including the client acceptance and reacceptance process, the internal inspection program, peer review, and other quality-control programs and initiatives.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Hughes was a regional associate director at the PCAOB, where he led the inspection activities of the Southeast region and inspections of international firms. Previously, he was an audit partner at an international accounting firm.
