Consulting Magazine recognizes Puthiyamadam, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Advisory, for excellence in strategy and transformation
CHICAGO — Tom Puthiyamadam, managing partner of Advisory Services at Grant Thornton Advisors LLC (Grant Thornton Advisors), has been named to Consulting Magazine’s 2026 Top Consultants list.
The annual award recognizes leading practitioners across the consulting profession for their ability to innovate, deliver results, and help organizations adapt in a rapidly evolving business environment. This includes the growing role of AI and digital transformation. Puthiyamadam was recognized in the “Excellence in Strategy and Transformation” category.
As a member of Grant Thornton Advisors’ Executive Committee, Puthiyamadam drives the effective execution of the firm’s strategy within its Advisory Services practice and leads the service line's innovation, growth agenda, operations, financial performance, and quality assurance.

With nearly 30 years of experience in professional services, Puthiyamadam is a recognized leader in transformation consulting, with a track record of helping organizations modernize operations, embed advanced technologies and deliver measurable outcomes at scale. Prior to joining Grant Thornton Advisors, he held several leadership roles at PwC, including leading the firm’s Transformation Consulting practice, where he drove large-scale, digital-powered transformation initiatives across industries.
At Grant Thornton, he has been instrumental in advancing and expanding the firm’s AI-enabled Advisory capabilities and building a more integrated platform of service offerings that bring together strategy, data and technology to help clients navigate unique business, technology and risk challenges. He has also helped grow the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform with the acquisitions of Auxis, Stax and the recently announced agreement to acquire MCA Connect.
