Grant Thornton’s Amanda Hartman named one of Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business award winners

CHICAGO — Amanda Hartman, Grant Thornton’s regional audit practice leader for its Texoma region, has been named one of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business award winners.

The annual awards recognize impactful female leaders who are reshaping the future of North Texas through their professional accomplishments, leadership and contributions to the business community. Hartman will be honored in August alongside this year’s class of winners at the publication’s Women in Business Awards Luncheon in Dallas.

“Amanda is an exceptional leader because she brings together technical excellence, operational discipline and a genuine commitment to helping people grow,” said Nichole Jordan, Grant Thornton’s region managing partner for Texoma and market managing partner for Dallas and Austin. “She leads one of our most complex audit regions with a steady focus on quality, collaboration and client service, and she has earned deep respect across our firm and the Dallas business community.”

In her current role, Hartman oversees the audit practice across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas, encompassing five offices and several hundred professionals. She is responsible for the practice’s operations, including resource planning, talent development, partner leadership and scheduling, go-to-market activities, and overall performance. Under Hartman’s leadership, the region has continued to grow, supporting clients in a fast-moving market, including companies considering or actively pursuing IPOs.

Hartman’s leadership is shaped by a career spanning a wide range of roles and experiences. She began her career at Arthur Andersen before joining Grant Thornton, where she completed professional standards rotations, led industry groups and served in international leadership assignments.

“Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to learn from leaders who invested in me, challenged me and helped me see what was possible,” Hartman said. “That has shaped how I lead today. I’m grateful for this recognition from the Dallas Business Journal, and I’m even more grateful for the teams, clients and community partners who make this work so meaningful.”

Outside of Grant Thornton, Hartman is active in the Dallas community. She currently serves as chair of the board of Café Momentum, a Dallas-based nonprofit and operating restaurant that provides paid internships, education, counseling and case management to justice-involved youth. She also serves on the Accounting Advisory Board for Texas Christian University and on the Audit and Finance Committee for the Dallas Regional Chamber.

Hartman holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University.
