Grant Thornton names Partho Ghatak as Chief Information Security Officer

CHICAGO — Grant Thornton LLP has named Partho Ghatak as its chief information security officer (CISO).

As CISO, Ghatak will steer Grant Thornton’s information security needs and advise senior leadership on all matters related to the integrity and confidentiality of critical business information and systems. He will be responsible for the practices and tools that reduce risks to information security and technology, while also preventing and responding to security incidents. In addition, he will establish security policies, standards and controls, manage security technologies, and implement business and risk-aligned information security and risk management programs — defending the firm against cyber-attacks and the emerging threat landscape.

Ghatak brings with him 20 years of experience in information security roles across a variety of industries, including health care, manufacturing, transportation and consulting services. Before joining Grant Thornton, he held senior roles helping Fortune 500 companies to securely drive innovative business solutions.
