NEW YORK—Oliver Dennison has joined Grant Thornton LLP as a managing director in the firm’s Financial Services Advisory practice. Based in Grant Thornton’s New York office, he will be responsible for delivering integrated services to global banking clients and driving fintech-enabled business solutions, with a focus on risk and compliance.
Dennison has nearly 20 years of experience as a senior manager and technology consultant, working for financial organizations and multinational corporations in Europe and North America. Most recently, he was a director leading the Enterprise Risk Technology function within Deutsche Bank Americas.
“Having spent his career in financial services, Oliver has witnessed rapid, technology-driven industry change,” said Nigel Smith, national Financial Services Advisory leader for Grant Thornton. “His experience leading the re-engineering of business processes and catalyzing change through technology is a strong addition to our solutions-focused client approach, especially as fintech continues to transform financial services.”

He also served as global head of banking and lending technology, and ultimately ABN Amro NV branch manager and chief administrative officer for RBS/ABN Amro NV Americas. He began his professional career as a consultant for Druid Systems, BT Syntegra and Rule Financial.
Graham Tasman, principal and Banking sector leader for Grant Thornton, added, “Oliver’s mastered the art of applying practical process and technology solutions to business challenges to offer companies measurable return – a skill set we must continue to grow for our banking and broader financial services clients.”
