Energy transition: Renewable energy, M&A activity and the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act

Event Description

With interest in energy supply and security at an all-time high, governments, corporations and individuals are rethinking the role that energy plays as a critical resource, as a driver of growth and as a catalyst for change. Spurred by technological advancements, geo-political tensions, and legislative mandates, the sector and its many ancillary offshoots is seeing an unprecedented level of interest from investors.

Be it a defensive play to hedge exposure against more traditional energy sources, a portfolio expansion to include assets which complement existing investments, or a speculative gamble on an emerging energy technology, deal interest is healthier than ever. Add to this the many incentive and rebate programs that are being implemented internationally and at the federal, state and local levels, and the sector is fast becoming one of the most attractive investment propositions. Join our panel of Grant Thornton leaders as we:

  • Review recent investment activity in the renewable energy industry in the US: Deal volumes, types and emerging trends.
  • Consider how industry is changing as a result of new technologies, social and political interest and the influence of government incentives, including the Inflation Reduction Act.
  • Assess how to maximize the value of the renewable energy investment incentives available to your organization.
