SEC & PCAOB Conference roundup

The 2021 Conference on Current SEC and PCAOB Developments, jointly hosted by both the AICPA and CIMA, was held both virtually and in-person this year on December 6-8 in Washington, D.C. Among the themes explored during this year’s conference is the perennial focus on stakeholders’ shared responsibility for developing and maintaining high-quality financial reporting, for the benefit of both investors and the capital markets.

Panelists and speakers also focused on innovation opportunities triggered by macro-economic disruptions, as well as new developments in the growing environmental, social, and governance landscape.
