2022 AICPA & CIMA Conference on Current SEC and PCAOB Developments

On December 12-14, the AICPA and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) staged the 2022 Conference on Current SEC and PCAOB Developments in Washington, D.C. This year’s conference themes focused on:

• The role collaboration plays in enhancing high-quality reporting for the benefit of the capital markets
• The need to proactively address macroeconomic impacts and rapidly advancing technologies.

This publication highlights key discussions held on these themes as well as other topics, including fraud risk; crypto assets; environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activities; cybersecurity; non-GAAP financial measures; and the recent spike in PCAOB inspection findings.
