Michael Sullivan

Mike is a partner in Grant Thornton’s Forensic Advisory Services practice located in New York, NY.  

Mike has over 20 years of experience advising clients involved in litigation and investigations. Mike has led a wide variety of matters assisting both companies and attorneys with business disputes, including high-stakes forensic accounting investigations, complex funds tracing exercises, the assessment of economic damages, fraudulent transfer analyses, solvency analyses, litigation consulting, valuation-related issues, construction disputes, financial modeling, data analytics, and other financial and accounting analysis.

Mike has reported to in-house and outside counsel, law enforcement agencies, boards of directors, senior management, auditors, and lending groups. Mike has been qualified as an expert, provided expert testimony and consulted on business and post-acquisition disputes in addition to matters involving bankruptcy, insurance claim recovery and business strategy. Mike regularly serves as a neutral in accounting arbitrations related to post-acquisition disputes. Mike has prepared determination letters and expert reports on disputes involving earnouts, working capital adjustments, reps & warrants claims related to a variety of accounting issues.

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Mike was a manager in Huron Consulting Group’s Forensic Advisory practice in New York.
