Executive summary

 

Maxim (Max) Kovalsky is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton's Cybersecurity & Privacy practice, based in the New York City office.

 

Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Max served New York City Cyber Command, both as an external advisor and an executive employee where he focused on shared cybersecurity services strategy, critical infrastructure protection, and smart city security. Max’s prior experience includes leading threat detection & response advisory services with Deloitte, building cyber threat intelligence subscription service at Flashpoint, and contracting for the FBI's Intelligence Directorate to provide operational and intelligence support to over 20 complex cybercrime and white-collar crime investigations.

 

Max has presented at many conferences and published on a range of topics covering cybersecurity and information warfare. Max is an active reservist and a member of the US Army Reserve 75th Innovation Command.
