Phil Romero

Phil is an Audit Partner in Grant Thornton’s MetroPark, New Jersey office. Phil has over 12 years of experience in public accounting, providing audit and advisory services to a variety of industries, including media & entertainment, technology enabled businesses, and manufacturing. He has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions, complex debt and equity transactions, and other complex business transactions. He also has significant experience in dealing with technical issues, including revenue recognition, leasing, and stock-based compensation.

In addition, Phil completed a two-year rotation in Grant Thornton’s National Professional Standards Group where he consulted on technical accounting matters, auditing standards, and audit methodology issues for various industries.

Phil is committed to growing our firm and providing the best experience for his clients and teammates. He is a mentor to interns, associates, senior associates, and managers at the firm and has developed and delivered numerous trainings locally and nationally.

Phil also serves his local community by coaching youth soccer, basketball, and football while also serving on the Board of Trustees of a local private K-12 school.
