Executive summary
Meredith has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. She has extensive experience in providing auditing and accounting services, as well as in the review and improvement of internal control systems. Throughout her career, Meredith has worked with both public and private companies with revenues up to $7 billion.
She is also highly skilled in the review of SEC filings, including annual and quarterly filings, securities registrations and proxy statements. She has assisted a variety of companies with the implementation and maintenance of their internal control systems.
Meredith serves as the Global Head of LEAP at Grant Thornton International, Ltd. (GTIL) for the firm’s largest service delivery project ever undertaken as a network. The project represents a fundamental revision to GTIL’s global audit methodology, the development of a new service delivery platform, and a series of audit learning modules. In this role, Meredith is responsible for the rollout of the service delivery platform and audit methodology to member firms in 135 countries. She works closely with GTIL’s technology partner and collaborates with senior leaders within GTIL member firms to ensure a success rollout within their respective countries. Meredith oversees the development project and has been practicing agile software development.
From 2009 to 2011, Meredith completed a part-time staff fellowship at the Financial Accounting Foundation supporting the Blue Ribbon Panel on Standard Setting for Private Companies. In her role, she was responsible for agenda setting and was the co-author of the Blue Ribbon’s final report. Meredith has written thought leadership on private company accounting standards and enjoys helping her clients navigate through technical accounting guidance.
Meredith also completed a rotation in the Firm’s National Audit Training and Knowledge Resources Group developing technical audit training programs, drafting firm bulletins and other communications, and assisting on efficiency and effectiveness projects.
Meredith has served clients in a number of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, and retail industries. She especially enjoys working with both public companies and large, closely-held private companies with international operations and complex accounting issues. Meredith has extensive knowledge of the GTIL member firm network and has a passion for leadership and innovation. Meredith has significant experience performing internal control audits and assisting clients with acquisition and other technical accounting issues.
In 2013, Meredith was honored by the Illinois CPA Society, and received the “Women to Watch” award in the emerging leader category.
