Rimma Tabakh is an audit partner at Grant Thornton LLP and leads the Audit Practice for the Greater Bay Area offices. She has over 18 years of experience providing audit and advisory services to multi-national listed corporations and dynamic private clients. Her passion is serving companies with international operations.
Rimma has recently returned from China where she was the U.S. Resident Partner for Grant Thornton China. While in China, she oversaw the execution of audits of US listed companies located in China as well as US companies with significant operations in China and other countries in Asia Pacific. She also supervised cross-border transactions including initial public offerings of foreign filers.
She has led initial and secondary public offerings, performed due diligence in acquisitions, supervised intricate international audits (including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance), overseen various SEC filings, and advised European, American and Asian companies on cross-border and capital raising transactions.
Rimma has developed and led several consumer and industrial products and technology industry seminars, taught numerous technical accounting and finance sessions, and spoke at various international business events. Additionally, she has led quality practice reviews of other offices and Grant Thornton International member firms
Rimma is an Audit Committee Chair for two non-for-profit entities. While in China, Rimma was the vice-chair of the Women Executive Network committee of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai and a board member of ACG China.
Rimma is fluent in English and Russian. She is currently learning Mandarin.
