Executive summary


Louise brings over 23 years of experience in business consulting and governance, risk, and compliance advisory services. Prior to joining Grant Thornton in the Los Angeles office, she was a partner with Raymond Chabot, Grant Thornton (GT Canada) in the Strategy and Performance Consulting Group and the Partner-in-Charge of the business risk and internal audit practice for the Province of Quebec. Louise utilizes her years of operational and consulting experience to serve clients in a variety of industries. During her tenure, she has optimized numerous operational and financial processes (procure to pay processes, revenues processes and purchase- inventory processes, financial close reporting) and human resources processes (training, hiring, onboarding, performance management, payroll processes). Louise is known for her ability to motivate and lead workshops that foster people’s creativity and empowerment, two milestones for sustainable changes. Over the past 20 years, she has contributed to 7 major organizational transformations and more than 70 performance improvement projects, performing activities that are directly impacting change at every phase of the project. Her practice is centered on delivering Business Consulting and Process Improvement services, leading process mapping initiatives, performing analytical procedures, and developing creative solutions to complex business problems within the scope of the organization's strategy and objectives. Louise is a strong project manager, exceling to develop roadmaps that can scale to meet the future growth and demands of the business relevant to transaction processing, analytics, reporting and decision support. She is known for her ability to adapt solutions according to the context and organizational culture of her clients, and her ability to understand the underlying operational processes in order to streamline financial processes.

Over the last few years, Louise has also served as the lead partner for more than 200 internal audit projects where she developed best practices on many topics. Her unique background as a CPA, transformation consultant and risk consultant has enabled her to define, develop and lead a new national service line at Grant Thornton called “Internal Audit Operation Transformation”. This service line collaborates with our clients who have traditional audit and compliance functions to transform their audit and compliance operations into strategic drivers that support their business. Over the last three years, Louise has also partnered with various Internal Audit functions at gaming & hospitality companies helping them transform the type of audits executed to be more strategic in nature and viewed by executive management as value add.
 
In 2018, Louise was invited to take on a national role in assisting Grant Thornton’s advisory leadership in transforming our Controls Advisory practice. Though her efforts, Controls Advisory is now better aligned with our Advisory strategy to create, protect and transform value.
