Bill Hildebrand is a Professional Standards partner based in Boston and serving offices and clients in the Metro New York/New England market territory. With more than 17 years of experience, Hildebrand is focused on risk and practice management. His responsibilities include providing technical guidance on current accounting, internal control, auditing, Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, financial reporting and SEC developments. His client and advisory experience includes significant SEC and private company issues, primarily with commercial and not-for-profit clients.
Hildebrand formerly served a two-year term as a practice fellow at FASB. In this role he assisted the FASB board members and staff on several issues, including disclosures of certain loss contingencies and disclosures about an employer’s participation in multiemployer plans. Hildebrand also worked closely with the Emerging Issues Task Force on several issues related to accounting by health care organizations.
