The 2020 AICPA National Conference on Banks & Savings Institutions was held virtually this year on September 14 through 16. The conference featured speakers from the SEC, the PCAOB, the FASB, federal banking regulators, audit firms, and financial institutions, who focused on accounting and financial reporting challenges facing financial institutions, particularly issues related to COVID-19 and the CARES Act, as well as implementing the FASB’s new current expected credit losses (CECL) standard.
