At the Spring Board Meeting for the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the industry’s leaders weighed in on their top issues. “Supply chain resiliency and AI are the two things that were the big topics,” said Grant Thornton Manufacturing Industry National Leader Robert Hersh. Both topics have been concerns before, but perspectives have changed.
As manufacturers consider the actions they need to take, it’s important to understand that supply chain issues and AI both tie to digital transformation — along with many factors in the operation. “If you think of a spider web, in the middle of the spider web is AI,” said Grant Thornton Manufacturing Industry Incoming National Leader Kelly Schindler.
