What would have the biggest impact on growing the game and making it more inclusive?
Make it easy to start at a young age! So many passionate golfers fall in love with the game first as children. It's very important to invest in junior golf programs. If we think creatively, we can make golf more accessible to kids who otherwise would not have the chance to learn or experience the sport. Golf is so fun, and if kids are just able to get out and experience it, they will have that outlet for life.
If you could say one thing to the next generation, what would it be?
Just get out and play. Have fun. Enjoy every moment and don’t take it too seriously. People have a perception that golf is such a rigid sport, but it doesn’t have to be. Sure, stay competitive, but realize that golf is just as much about having fun and enjoying time with friends as it is about hitting perfect shots every time.
