Our teammate Ania’s sister Aleksandra works as a nurse at the Ann & Robert H Lurie’s Children’s hospital in Chicago. Now more than ever she is on the frontlines of the crisis, partnering with physician scientists and hospital leaders to meet the additional challenges arising due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She personally invests herself with every patient that she has, whether it’s spending extra time with them to build a personal connection, help them feel safe or just bringing a smile to their face. When she leaves work, despite her long days you can often find her volunteering at a transitional home for children with complicated health needs. We are grateful for Aleksandra and all the nurses caring for us.
