Kendra Smith is the Not-for-Profit practice leader in Grant Thornton's Cincinnati office. She has served a variety of not-for-profit organizations, including foundations, public and private universities, and social services organizations. She also serves on the firm's national not-for-profit leadership team.
Smith has served both public and private clients in the consumer and industrial products industry segment, including A-133 engagements and program-specific audits. She has also served as a director of finance and as an accounting manager. Smith has spoken to not-for-profit organizations on a variety of topics, including governance, internal controls, social enterprise ventures, accounting principles, alternative investments, underwater endowment funds and the trickle-down effects of SOX. She has contributed to articles published in Cincy Business magazine and the Cincinnati Business Courier on not-for-profit governance.
