Srikant Sastry is the National Managing Principal of Advisory Services, responsible for the planning, growth and execution of Grant Thornton’s U.S. Advisory business. In his 25 years in professional services, he has led performance improvement and transformation projects for several organizations, including the U.S. Postal Service and the Department of Labor. Sastry previously led Grant Thornton’s Public Sector practice.
In 2015, the Washington Business Journal recognized Sastry as a Minority Business Leader of the Year. In 2016, the Alexandria, Virginia Chamber of Commerce named him Business Leader of the Year. Most recently, Consulting magazine named Sastry a Top 25 Consultant in 2017. This annual listing, which focuses on the 25 professionals making the greatest impact in the consulting industry, profiled Sastry for his “excellence in leadership.”
Sastry is chairman of Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs’ (SPEA) Distinguished Alumni Council, and serves on SPEA’s Manufacturing Advisory Initiative Board. Finally, Sastry chairs the board for the Consortium of Advanced Management-International (CAM-I), a not-for-profit collaborative focused on cost, process, and performance management across industries.
Recently, Sastry led a discussion with chief financial officers (CFOs) nationwide on their top business priorities and challenges as part of Grant Thornton’s 2017 CFO Survey.
