Dan Romano is the national partner-in-charge of Grant Thornton's Tax Services in the Not-for-Profit and Higher Education practices. He dedicates his time to providing tax consulting and compliance services to tax-exempt organizations on such matters as unrelated business income, employment taxes, private benefits and other compliance issues. Romano has provided clients with contract, operational and procedural reviews as they relate to tax matters. He has assisted in the establishment of tax policies and procedures, as well as the structuring of contracts including royalty agreements. He also specializes in the area of nonresident alien taxation.
