Jim is a Managing Director in Grant Thornton’s Finance Transformation Service Solution. He is a highly accomplished executive with significant leadership experience and a demonstrated track record of exceptional results. He has leadership experience with global multi-billion dollar, public and private organizations and is a strong believer of enhancing corporate culture to drive business performance. He has 30 plus years in consulting / advisory services and business leadership roles such as CFO, COO and President.
Jim’s career has focused in Food Manufacturing Retail and Distribution as well as Business Services. He has extensive M&A experience working on over 30 buy-side and sell-side transactions with deal values totaling over $8 Billion dollars. His accomplishments include overseeing cost reduction programs at various organizations totaling of over $600 million. He has created and managed shared service centers (finance and IT) in the US, EU and Asia. His accomplishments include negotiating over $500 million of bank debt facilities as CFO at Huron Consulting Group and Engine Group.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Jim was a founder at Huron Consulting Group serving as its VP of Corp Dev, CFO, COO and Practice Group Leader. Additionally, Jim spent five years at Royal Ahold the world’s ninth largest grocery store company as Chief Admin Officer at US Foods and CFO of Stop & Shop / Giant subsidiaries. In addition he has had leadership roles at Morae Global, HBR Consulting, Diversified Food Service, and Engine Group.
