Executive summary
Bradley J. Preber is the CEO of Grant Thornton LLP, a leading global provider of audit, tax and advisory services to companies, non-profit organizations and government entities. Prior to his appointment as CEO, he served as interim CEO from June through October of 2019. Previously, Preber served as chairman of the Partnership Board, national managing partner of Business Risk Services and as the office managing partner for our Phoenix practice.
Preber has more than 35 years of experience serving as a consultant, expert witness, forensic accountant and fraud investigator. He has investigated cases alleging fraud, waste and abuse, and frequently speaks, writes and teaches on fraud-related matters.
In 2019, Consulting magazine named Preber a Top 25 Consultant. This annual listing, which focuses on the 25 professionals making the greatest impact in the consulting industry, profiled Preber for his “excellence in leadership.”
Preber graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1981 with a degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting and was inducted into the Robert O. Anderson School of Management Hall of Fame in 2008. He is a certified public accountant in Arizona, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Among many other professional memberships and certifications, he is a certified fraud examiner, certified global management accountant, certified construction auditor and is certified in financial forensics.
As an active member of his community, Preber has held a variety of board seats and leadership roles in organizations in Arizona and New Mexico, including the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Arizona State University, The Wellness Community of Central Arizona and Navajo Ministries.
