Geoffrey Luiz joined the firm in 2010 and has more than 12 years of experience in financial statements audits and performance audits largely in the public sector. He has executed financial statement audits including opinions on the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting at many large federal entities. He has also lead performance audits with objectives focused on internal controls and compliance at many public sector as well as commercial entities. Prior to being admitted as partner, Geoff served as a Managing Director.
Geoff has served numerous clients from across the Federal government in both assurance and advisory capacities, including the Social Security Administration, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Department of Treasury, the Office Of Personnel Management, the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Department of the Interior, as well as private-sector clients and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Geoff is active in coordinating Public Sector initiatives worldwide through the Grant Thornton International Member Firm Network.
