Steven Krug is a managing director in Forensic and Valuation Services practice and the FVS practice leader for the Atlanta office. Krug supervises business valuation engagements for a variety of tax, assurance, litigation support and financing needs. He has 21 years of experience as a professional business appraiser. His prior work includes the valuation of businesses for fairness opinions, stock option plans, purchase price allocations, estate and gift tax issues, divorce proceedings, dissenting shareholder suits, stock conversions, intangible asset appraisals, and ESOPs.
Krug has extensive experience performing valuations for financial reporting purposes (i.e., FAS 141, 142 and 123r). He also has particular financial advisory experience within the software and technology, government technical service, and health care industries. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Krug was a vice president at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, a nationwide investment banking firm specializing in the middle market. He has held managerial positions at two health care companies and served as an associate with the valuation firm of Willamette Management Associates.
